CKRAS Gaming 2011 Review
I
Hello CKRAS Fans,
So its time to show you a Review from all results 2011 of CKRAS Gaming. This year was one of the best esport years for CKRAS and the VICE World Champion title in CS:S, Winner of the 30P Lan and the CS:GO Showmatch in Telford. In the following we will show you the results and award we have achieved due 2011.
January
After a sad end in 2010 with only a second place at the portuguese LAN event, XLPARTY, we focused on the EPS Nordic Season III to reach to the finals. With an easy start due the first groupstage matches, we were going better and better through the whole tournament and in the end we reached the 4th place in the groupstage and thats finally meant that
CKRAS Gaming (aNGeldusT, kononen, CISU, disturbed and nashje) reached the playoffs. In the first match we ran across the guys from
ReasonGaming (FeTish, 3k2, wantz, gravity, h0lm), to our surprise we easily won the 2 maps which where inferno and train against the favorites. After that surprise we only had to beat DNYAMIC Gaming in the Finals to be the EPS NORDIC FINALS WINNER SEASON III. The Game against
DYNAMIC (glaive, cajunb, impulze, muffeb, ruggah) took place at the 13. January 2011 and was played in a best of three (bo3) modus. We started on the map de_inferno and WON this map with 16:13 against the danes from DYNAMIC. Second map was played on dust2, with once again a better END for CKRAS (16:7) and the the title of
EPS NORDIC CHAMPION (SEASON III)

The first lan event this year was the Winter Assembly 11-13. February in Helsinki
, our Counterstrike Source Team (aNGeldusT, kononen, CISU, disturbed and nashje) reached a second place, against the finish contrahents from
eXelon.
The team started good with a win against Immortal 16:1, but allready in the second round they lost against Menace with 12:16, from now on the team went into the lower bracket and had to beat vicious and Vodka, to go trough to the final in the top match against eXelon. (Assembly Summer Winner 2010). But once again we lost the Assembly Final against eXelon and had a disapointing second place.

FINAL STANDINGS
The Assembly Results wasn't perfect, but it was a perfect bootcamp due our next goal to win the 30P Lan in Stockholm 2 weeks later. So we started in the early March our travel to Stockholm, to take part at the 30P Lan with the best teams of Europe. The tournament started with some delays due the lag of problems with some computers.
The tournament for
CKRAS Gaming (aNGeldusT, kononen, CISU, disturbed and nashje) started with the match against
Animus (16:4 WIN), next opponent was Teamflash (16:2 WIN), with this win we was already qualified for the playoffs and their we would be shooting against
RASTA in a bo3 match, with the closest results due the whole event and a 19:16 win in OVERTIME on inferno and second map 16:14 WIN on dust2.
With the victory over RASTA, we meet
Epsilon in the UB-Final, and it would be a hard match with one map loss against the brits. We started on Inferno and we got no control over Rattlesnk and co. and so we lost this map with 12:16 and from now on we had to win all maps to get direct into the Grand Final. With train (one of the best maps of our Team) we show why we are one of the best teams in europe and a easy walkover on train (16:6). Next and last map in the UB-Final was nuke and with some problems in the beginning we was able to win this last map with 16:10. After that we had some time to wait on who would be the opponnent in the Grand Final, in the end it was once again the team from
Epsilon.
In the Grand Final we meet
Epsilon once again and the first map was train, maybe you remember we won in the UB-Final 16:6 on train against Rattlesnk and co., so we was well prepared for the maybe last map in the 30P Lan in
Stockholm and we won this map 16:9. With the end of 16:9 CKRAS won their first international lan event. LINEUP

After our success at the 30P Lan in Stockholm, we started to focus on our next big lan event the Copenhagen Games in Denmark, which was held at eastern 22. April - 24. April 2011. We'll have no view at the Groupstage Match, you can find all Matchlinks on the right side, we will start with the Groupstage #2 at the CP and our first Match against the guys from
EYES ON U.
For the guys from EYES ON U it was the second international event, but against our team they had no chance and lost 16:3 on inferno. The second Match in groupstage #2 was against the brazilians from
TargetDown. The TD guys was known from the CS 1.6 times so we had no idea how strong the brazilians would play CS:S, but after some rounds we knew that we would have no problems against them, and we finally won 16:1 on train. The last groupstage match was against the danes from
Copenhagen Wolves which was going to be fought on inferno. We managed to win this fight with a 16:9 score and reached the playoffs as group leader.
PLAYOFFS
In the first Match in the playoffs of the best 8 teams, we cross the weapons with
LIONS in a best of three (bo3). First map in the quarter final was played on train and we won this map with 16:2. For the final defeat of the LIONS we had to win the second map, nuke, which we won in a overtime with 19:16 score.
In the semi-final we fought against
XAYAGAMING on train (16:4) and on dust2 (16:10), after that we had to play the Grand Final against
VeryGames, which we last time lost to at the DSRACK #2 Final 2010.
The Final started with some delay and techniqual issues, on the first map ,nuke, we made some big mistakes so we weren't able to stop the attacks from VeryGames and finally we lost this map with 11:16, on the next map we would try to do it better, but the french players with Regnam and co. was too strong on dust2 and they showed us a perfect demontration of playing this map, with this disappointing result in the final, we was in the end happy that we reached the second place in Copenhagen.

At the Copenhagen Games we tryed to offer
aNGeldusT and co a new contract, but they told us that they wanted to leave CKRAS, with the fact that they had got a better offer from an other organisation. We agreed that they would leave CKRAS Gaming, and we wanted to say thanks for the time they played under CKRAS Gaming.
The team played under the CKRAS tag for 1 year and 2 month.

VICE WOLRD CHAMPION
The biggest Counter-Strike Source Event was in 2011 the ESWC and the groupstage was better taken then some playoffs in the past. We arrived on sunday and started our first match on monday morning against the Swedish players from
Fragmasters Toxic, we needed some rounds to get on fire but in the end we played this first ESWC Match with a 16:9 WIN. The Second Match was played against the French from
LDLC at the BIG ESWC STAGE (Picture). The match wasn't easy, due the fact that the French commentors helped LDLC, in the END all help was pointless. LDLC never showed that they could beat us, and
FeTiSh and co. leave the stage as winners.
In the third groupstage match we had to play against the
mTw on nuke, which we won with 16:9 and a fantastic last round from René "cajun" Borg (WATCH MOVIE)
To that fact that we already WON against all teams in the groupstage we knew that we could reach the playoffs if we won 1 of the last 2 matches, maybe due that fact its to explain why we only played a draw 15:15 (dust2) against
Online Kingdom.
So we knew after our draw, that we had to win the last match to be the best team in Group B and to play in the playoffs (semi-final) against the second place from Group B. The last groupstage match against
DYNAMIC which started at 24. October at 17:30 (CET) and was played on train, and we beaten them with 16:12.
With that result we (FeTiSh, h0lm, wantz, cajun, 3k2) were on the top of group B and we had to visit the Americans from
CHECKSIX (DaZeD frozt neiL Steel tck) on the 25. October Semi-Final best of three (bo3) match.
On the next morning we were well prepared and hoped that we could beat the guys from CHECKSIX to reach the ESWC Grand Final. The match started at 10:15 (CET) and the first map was played on one of our favourite maps tuscan. We started perfect on tuscan and checksix never had any chance to win this map, unfortunatly for x6 they hadn't shown a better performance on season and so we won the semi final with a 16:5 & 16:7 (2:0) and heading in the grand final once again
VeryGames
GRAND FINAL
In the Grand Final we once again meet
VeryGames which was so often our final partner. The match started at the big ESWC Stage without any delays, at that point we could say that it was an perfect organized event and the computers and so on was well prepared. So lets go back to the Grand Final, we started on nuke against VeryGames but the match wasn't really to be on roll, we had to realise that we would have no chance on nuke against VG so we lost 16:4 on nuke and focused all to the second map dust2. Now we started better of, but with some mistakes we once again lost the control in the game and we lost the grand final with 2:0 and a 16:11 on dust.

NOVEMBER
INSOMNIA 44 took place at the 18. November - 21. November 2011 in
Telford, we arrived at friday evening. The tournament started with some delays and we played first match against
MOD.reflex on dust2. It was our first match in this tournament and we had no bigger problems during the game, and won in the end with a 16:2 score. The second match was against
Team Alternate, the EPS Germany finalist, sad to say: we played once again like the whole tournament... dust2! Team Alternate started strong with a pistol win, but after that win they couldn't stop us, so we was able to win that map for us and a 16:11 WIN for CKRAS.
In Round 3 we faced the guys from
Rasta (mix), we played for our surprise dust2, the match wasn't very hard we always have the control over the british guys so we won the map with a 16:7 victory. In the Winner Bracket Final we once again meet
VeryGames, we played dust2, and we had a lot of practice now due the whole tournament at this map so we started very strong, but unfortunately we lost 1 map too much and with that fault we only reach a 16:13 against VG and must now play threw the Looser Bracket, to get into the Grand Final.
In the Looser Bracket Final we played against the surprising team
Team Codered, which played a good tournament so far. We joined the server at the 20. November at 13:30 CET and thank god we now played on the map season. We started very good but with a 14:5 leading, we started losing round for round and we needed some time to get back into the game and finally we won this map with 16:14 and we would meet our French friends from
VeryGames in the Grand Final.
The Final is explained very shortly, VG changed their playstyle on dust2 compared to the WB Final Match, and so we lost with 8:16. After that Grand Final we played the first european showmatch for CS:GO

We was now qualified for the Grand Final and there we would meet our friends from
Reason, we started the Final on dust2 and won this map with 16:13, after this map we had to win one map further to be the best team in Denmark, with a very strong played terrorist action, we was able to win on train with 16:6 against Reason and as GDK Champion, with this last title we showed once again, that CKRAS Gaming is the best Danish team and one of the best teams in europe/world.
